Maximus, often called "Maximus the Mad," is a prominent character within Marvel Comics' Inhumans mythology. He first appeared in Fantastic Four #47 (1966).
Maximus is the brother of Black Bolt, the King of the Inhumans. Possessing a genius-level intellect and powerful mental abilities, Maximus frequently schemes to usurp the throne of Attilan from his brother. His powers allow him to control the minds of others, project psionic energy, and induce madness.
